Automobile and Truck Accidents

  • Q: What should I do in case of an accident?

A: The first and most important thing to do at a site of a collision is to determine the extent of driver’s and passengers’ injuries. If it is a minor collision, emergency medical care may not be necessary but be sure to resist the inner feeling to settle up with the other driver. You may have suffered injuries that are not noticeable immediately and may develop days or weeks after. Call for police and, if necessary, medical assistance if you discover any injury. This will provide for proof of the accident and will allow for an immediate investigation. Do not call the insurance company before contacting one of our attorneys. Right after an accident you may find yourself nervous and any statement you make will probably be recorded. We prefer that you wait until you have talked to us before making those statements.
